Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique blend of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, during the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine is a name that she has given her has been given as Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta, she originates out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing as well as playing the piano at churches. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The first song to feature her voice was Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 song. It has been re-mixed and is now component of her repertoire. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was commissioned to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention during four daily performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
